About Mark Piper
Hello, my name is Mark Piper. I’m running for the US House of Representatives in Florida District 23 as a Classic Liberal. History and reason show that individual rights, limited government, free-market capitalism, and the rule of law are the engines of real, sustainable growth for our communities.
I’m deeply concerned about the decades ahead. The world is becoming increasingly chaotic, and too often our elected representatives seem content to watch it unfold. In delight? Maybe. But my real concern is what comes next. Wars cost money, and that money has to come from somewhere—or somebody. Americans ultimately bear those costs through higher taxes, mounting debt, inflation, or diminished opportunities. We need leaders who focus on protecting our nation’s future rather than accepting endless spending without accountability.

Principles:
Individual Rights and Limited Government
The government, a majority vote, or society does not grant an individual’s rights. They are natural rights that come with being human. The government’s role is to protect those rights, not to direct them. The right to life is protection against being killed or physically violated.
The right to liberty empowers Americans to think, speak, and pursue their own goals and make their own choices; these liberties precede government coercion. Property rights mean owning, using, and disposing of what you legitimately acquired—by creation, trade, or gift—including your body, possessions, and intellectual property.
Civil Liberties and Policy Stance
I am pro–civil liberties, pro–reason and progress, and skeptical of concentrated power. I support free-speech absolutism and school choice. I oppose identity politics, compelled speech, political correctness, large administrative states, and central planning.
Governance Philosophy
Growth happens when individuals are free to pursue their own goals. Government should prioritize oversight and the protection of rights rather than acting as a nanny or an engineer of social outcomes.

I hold master’s‑level training in accounting, economics, finance, management, and statistics. I have extensive understanding of income statements, budgets, and balance sheets. Additionally, I am a job creator with over 30 years of experience managing and operating businesses.
